Conclusion

My Opinions

IMO, its pretty complete in terms of features. There was a rumor where Windower will have a plugin where your current bazaar’s item would be uploaded to the server. This has not been confirmed but may happen someday.

Cliff and Scragg have been working pretty hard to get these features the way it is. Took a lot of bugging and a truckload of testing and debugging to present what you see today. They literally cut down movie times to code FFXIAH so I hope you drop them a message and thank them.

If you would like to give in a bit more, there is always an option of donation. No they aren’t using the money to buy themselves a new graphics card. The funds they collect from these donation would subsidize the cost of keeping these servers up. Bandwidth cost roughly 1,000 USD per month plus processing power that is required to compile these results for your convenience. If there are extras, it would definately be invested to more FFXIAH harder to provide you with a better experience. Donation link is here.

Honestly, Scragg rarely login anymore ‘-‘. I’m sure people on Fenrir notice this. They literally spent all their free time on this project so I really appreciate what they have provided, and I hope you too :) Here’s the forum if you want to drop them a message.

A little Tip!

A few hidden features of FFXIAH that you might not know of!

URL Linking

Also, I didn’t mention about a way to link your own character. That is you can link them simply by typing this to the url

http://www.ffxiah.com/Your_Server/Your_Character

In my case, it would be

http://www.ffxiah.com/Fenrir/Maiev

Pretty neat featuers and something to go into your signature if you got nothing. Its also good for people who type fast, so you can skip the search function.

RSS Feeds

Getting informed right when your item’s sold? Subscribe to your own RSS feeds! RSS stands for Really Simple Syndicate and basically means reporting to the user when the webpage has updated content. In this case, when something’s sold, the webpage was updated with “new content”, so it will be RSSed to you.

The most practical way of using RSS is to use the built-in Windows Vista Gadgets or Yahoo Sidebar and get the RSS Widget. Therefore when an item is sold, it would be reported to your desktop. Below is the method I used.

Delivered right to your desktop :)

Anyhow, I’ll keep on adding if there’s features that was added in the membersn section :) Stay tuned when this goes public ^^;
