When efficiency combines together, we all benefit.<\/p>\n Hence we do not believe in splitting up our merit points.<\/p>\n Black Mage – Magic Attack Bonus (MAB) Setup<\/strong><\/p>\n Black Mage – Magic Attack Bonus Setup<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Main: Vulcan’s Staff Note: Well keep in mind this is dated in 2008 May possibly. This set must be used with caution since little to no Magic Accuracy or Elemental Skill is in it. Depending on mob, full out on Burst II could produce nearly 2k damage. HNM I use a more elemental set, Salvage I’d try to avoid it as well unless with Elemental Seal.<\/p>\n Black Mage – Magic Attack Bonus Setup<\/strong><\/p>\n Black Mage – Magic Attack Bonus (MAB) \/w Hat<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Main: Aquilo’s Staff Note: This setup simply contains the Wizard Hat +1, for mobs that has a high chance of not resisting. Again, one must use caution. The cost of a half resist just isn’t worth it if you need the skill. Less damage > half resist (for same amount of MP spent).<\/p>\n Black Mage – Elemental Skill Setup<\/strong><\/p>\n Black Mage – Elemental Skill Setup<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Main: Vulcan’s Staff Note: This setup has to do with opportunity cost. Some slots like earring, the opportunity cost for Novio is… Morion Earring +1? That cost doesn’t outweight that 7MAB, so in that case, I am going to substitute anything with Novio.<\/p>\n Black Mage – Enfeebling Gear<\/strong><\/p>\n Black Mage – Enfeebling Setup<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Main: Aquilo’s Staff Note: Typical enfeebling gear for Black Mage. I didn’t dump a bunch of money into this set because I didn’t think it was my job anyway to enfeeble. The Red Mage should have this gear and have more access to enfeebling gear than a Black Mage anyway.<\/p>\n Black Mage – Enfeebling Gear<\/strong><\/p>\n Black Mage – Enfeebling Setup<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Main: Aquilo’s Staff Note: From the look, I could go a little lower. However, there is a fine balance between getting too much MP and dying. This set is also built with minimum extra gear in mind, considering bag space is only 60. Also, I’m keeping significant nuking power with this setup, so I could actually use those MP to nuke, than just for pretty looks :P<\/p>\n Wow that is your Alt?<\/strong><\/p>\n Yea kinda, well put it this way. I had a nuking set on my Red Mage, and I kinda took that away and put it on the Black Mage, making my Red Mage purely a cure bomb. That isn’t bad to be honest :P<\/p>\n I have macros setup cloned, so if Alt 6 is Blizzard III on Red Mage, it’s Blizzard IV for Black Mage. This makes 2boxing a lot easier. I’d use auto follow and use \/target Maiev to quickly target each other.
