Greetings one and all. Just a small update for all of you this evening, as I haven’t really been doing much in-game with all the recent job hunting. I’m hoping this search for gainful employment will be over and done with soon. After all, real life Taru needs real life money to keep things going around here.
This week of course marks the 7th anniversary of Final Fantasy XI, and as always the Anniversary Rings that come with it. Hoping to put mine toward the final push toward Thief 75, as well as finishing out Dark Knight to 37. I know, I know… an endgame Red Mage without Dark Knight sub is lol. I’m working on it… geeze. =P~

While we’re on the subject of leveling certain needed jobs, I’ve been hammering away on both Thief & Dark Knight over the course of the last week. Currently sitting at level 28 on Dark Knight (up from 23), and just shy of 68 on Thief. Hopefully with the help of some serious experience bonuses from the rings, both of those will be getting done and over with shortly.

Limbus has been going strong of late. Now that we’ve finally got folks coming again to runs, we finally managed to get back to & defeat Proto-Omega once more. Personally though I would liked to have seen better than 2x head, but it did net me my first piece of Homam gear.
Meanwhile, we’ve also worked our way through a 2nd full set of Omega chips with impressive wins at NE & NW Apollyon. Hopefully our next little engagment with Apollyon’s big boss will be a bit more productive for us.

Only did one dose of Nyzul this week thanks to the rest of our static having scheduling issues. But we made the most of it with a climb through floors 1-15. Very easy runs throughout & no real snags to talk about. While it’s great to farm the boss floors for items week end & week out, it’s nice to go back and get dirty sometimes. Besides, the higher I climb, the better chance I get of unlocking the mythic weapon skills.

Dynamis wise, I only managed to get a round of Burumibu in on Wednesday night. Made quick and easy work the Apocalyptic Beast, then actually got a couple decent accessory drops in the process. Finally saw the Sorcerer’s Belt drop, but got badly outloted on it. Next time, remind me not to waste all my good lots on currency. Still no luck with getting the Sorcerer’s Gloves though. >.<;
While I wasn’t able to attend the Dynamis – Beaucidine run Sunday night, the run went extremely will with 17 relic drops. Included in the mix was a trio of Duelist Tabards for some well deserving Red Mages in our group. Congrats to all the relic winners.

Last off for the week, I’ve… kind of fell off the wagon and went back to my bad crafting habits. It’s downright frustrating to spend a good 200k worth of gil on materials only to get a .4 total skillup for the effort. Sitting right now at around 91.8-91.9 on Clothcraft. Leathcraft on the other hand was a bit more generous as I finally managed to hit 56 on that skill. I’m thinking of eventually trying my hand at some alchemy, as it has a few good profit synths that are cheap to make. Only time and copious amounts of gil will tell.
Well, that’s about all she wrote for this week in Vana’diel. I’m just hoping by the time we get to next week I’ll have a steady job and a lot more material to write about. Until then everyone, stay safe out there, and as always…
